III. Evaluation The TVA evaluators reviewed decurentation erd interviewed TVA personnel ir. solved in the installation of hangers.
They determined thet although sore hangers were installeo prior to the issuance of desi 1 drawings, the tangers 3
were later as-tuilt, analyzed and approved by engineering personnel.
The hangers were inspected and accepted by QC based only on approved design drawingc. Current work practices at Sequoyah require a work plan, which must incluce approved design drawi qs, prior to performing work.
t After this eierent report was issued, there were staff inspections and accitional licensee esaluations. Partially es a result of this employee concern, the 11cer.see initiated the Design Baseline and Verification Prograr ar.d etter corrective action projects described in the Sequoyah Nuclear l
Ftrforrance Plan. The staff roniterte the progress of these prcgrams through several irspecticos ar.c four.d the corrective actions to te acequate.
