REVIEW BY JOHN D AVIS OF THE REPORT OF THE COM ANCHE.

PEAK REPORT REVIEW GROUP T his will ' confirm our recent discussions concerning whether it would be appropriate to utilize the services of John Davis to provide peer review of the r

subject report.

Our conversations have established that Mr. Davis will not be placed in the situation of reviewing his own work and that he will not seek any enumeration for his efforts, which will be undcrtaken in his capacity as a private 4ndividual and not on behalf of his present employer.

The Office of the. A ssistant G eneral Counsel for A adjudications and O pinions has also informed me that Mr. Davis' present employer is not involved in business activities w hich could - be affected by the subject report.

Under these circumstances, we have no objection to the proposed use of Mr. Davis.

It will be. necessary, however, to document, prior to his performance of any work that his services will be gratuitous. and that. he will not submit any claims to the government in connection with this effort.

This may bs done by obtaining a letter to this effect from Mr. Davis or, if that is not feasible, so stating in a letter to him.
