In accordance with the Trojan Plant Operating License, Appendix A, US hTC Technical Specifications, Paragraph 6.9.1.7, attached is Licensee Event Report No. 81-08, concerning a situation where the Technical Specification for containment isolation valves was not satisfied due to an inoperable valve.

Corrective Action

All water damage to the operator was repaired and the motor was replaced.

The circuit was checked and the valve was successfully tested and returned to operation. Further overhaul of the operator will be done during the 4

1981 Refueling Outage.

An engineering evaluation will be made to determine if the location of the valve should be changed.

Administrative controls have been established to prevent flooding of the of the containment recirculation sump in the future.
