DIABLO CANYON - JOINT INTERVENORS' MOTION TO REOPEN THE RECORD ON CONSTRUCTION QUALITY ASSURANCE Attached is a copy of Joint Intervenors' Motion to Reopen the Record on Construction Quality Assurance. A copy has already been sent to Region V.

The Staff's response to this motion is due on May 31st. To support our response, affidavits from appropriate Staff members addressing the substantive technical matters raised should be prepared. The principal l

issue to be addressed is whether there is reasonable assurance that PG&E l-has established and implemented a construction QA/QC program consistent with the Commission's requirements. To assure a timely response, drafts of the Staff affidavits should be completed by May.24th.
