DIABLO CANYON - STAFF RESPONSE TO MOTIONS TO RE0 PEN THE RECORD ON CONSTRUCTION QUALITY ASSURANCE Attached in a copy of the draft Staff Response to the Motions to Reopen the Record on Construction Quality Assurance ' filed by the Joint Intervenors and Governor.
The Staff's response to this motion is du' e on June 6th.

Significance of Concern:
There is no present concern,with the engineeringjnalysis of the slats.
'Ihis item is a design area which was reported by the DCP,to be complete and acceptable.
However, the slabs require additional analyses as stated at the June 1, 1983 meeting. The significance of the concern is that requ,1 red corrective action was not fully implemented, yet reported as complete.

Recommendation:
RLCA will continue the review in the civil / structural area to assure that the Corrective Action Program is fully implemented, as required by the program plan.
