SUMMARY
- 2024 ANNUAL ASSESSMENT MEETING FOR JOSEPH M. FARLEY, UNITS 1 AND 2, DOCKET NOS. 50-348 AND 50-364; AND EDWIN I. HATCH, UNITS 1 AND 2, DOCKET NOS. 50-321 AND 50-366 - MEETING NUMBER 20250509 On April 29, 2025, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) conducted a virtual Information Meeting (slide presentation) with Question-and-Answer Session to provide the public with information on the annual performance assessment of the Joseph M. Farley, Units 1 and 2, and Edwin I. Hatch, Units 1 and 2, for the period of January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024.
To allow the NRC to effectively engage and maximize public stakeholders the meeting was held remotely through the Microsoft Teams application. Additionally, a telephone bridge line was available. The following documents related to the meeting are available in ADAMS: Meeting Notice (ML25108A145), Annual Assessment Letter for Joseph M. Farley, Units 1 and 2 (ML25066A109), and Annual Assessment Letter for Edwin I. Hatch, Units 1 and 2 (ML25065A270).
The meeting was conducted from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM central time. There were 29 attendees. In summary, the attendees consisted of representatives from the NRC (14), Southern Nuclear Company (11), and members of the public (4) that did not indicate affiliation with any organization. At the conclusion of the discussion, there was an opportunity for the public to provide comments and ask questions to the NRC staff.
