CDPC REPORT OF POSSIBLE FAULTDiG NEAR DIABLO CANYON NUCLEAR POWER PLANT Attached is a letter from Priscilla C. Grew to J. Carl Stepp which documents the telephone report of possible faulting north of the DQiFF made by Dr. James Davis on May 1,1978 (See meno from J. Carl Stepp to V. P. Can 411, dated May 1,1978).

Staff geologists and seismologists together with geologists from the USgand the CDHG inspected the evf niance cited for faulting

on May 4, 1978. A report of their findings is in preparation and will be transmitted to you within the next few days.

Preliminary conclusions are that the apparent offsets are the results of depositional anomalies.

I recomunend that this letter transmitted to the DCNFP Board.
