I make this statement freely with no threats or promises of reward having been made to me.
On November 20, 1984, I was present in Mr. Cain's office along with D. D.
Driskill, Ross Barkhurst, Admiral Williams, and R. S. Leddick. This rqeeting was convened to discuss the LP&L 1983 Drug Investigation -

M 05-001-83(966), I recall Mr. Leddick making a statement, words to the effect that he had not learned of the LP&L drug investigation in May 1983 until earlier this morning (Novembe.r 20,1984).
Again on December 6, 1984 at approximately 9:40 a.m., I attended a meeting between Louisiana Power & Light (LP&L) corporate executive management and the NRC Region IV staff that took place in the Region IV l
conference room.
This meeting was for the purpose to discuss LP&L's corrective actions concerning a drug investigation regarding reactor

operators that LP&L initiated in May of 1983.
During the closing statements regarding LP&L's position, Mr. R. S. Leddick, Senior Vice President--Nuclear Operations at LP&L, explained to all present words to the effect that he was only informed about this investigation just recently and no one briefed him on this investigation when he started to work for LP&L.
A few minutes later, the meeting was concluded at
