' NOTICE OF DEVIATION Duke Power Company Docket No. 50-413 Catawba License No. CPPR-116
-The following deviation was identified during 'an inspection conducted on April 3 6,1984.
Duke's letter of April 14, 1983 to the NRC/NRR states that the hydrogen piping inside the auxiliary and reactor buildings is Duke Class F which is designated to maintain pressure boundaries during the design basis seismic event.-
- Contrary to the above, the hydrogen' piping in the reactor building and portions of the auxiliary building to the reactor coolant pump drain tank are Duke Class E and G respectively which are not designed to maintain pressure boundaries during the derign basis seismic event.
Please provide, in writing.within 30 days of the date of this Notice, a descrip-tion of corrective actions regardtng this deviation, ' actions taken to avoid further deviations, and the dates when these actions were or will be completed.
Security or safeguards information should be submitted as an enclosure to facilitate withholding it from public disclosure as required by 10 CFR 2.790(d) or 10 CFR 73.21.
