Dear Sir:
In a telephone call on February 19, 1980 between Mr. Rich Lobell of your staff and C. J. P11uso of PCE, it was agreed that we would provide a plot showing maximum values of Fg versus core elevation based on the revised F
limit proposed in our License Change Application 56.
Attached are xy copies of the plots, one for the remainder of Cycle 2 operation and one for Cycle 3, which will commence following our April 1980 refueling. The calculated peaking f actors are 'below our current administrative peaking factor limi,t of 2.25, demonstrating that the proposed Fxy Technical Specification change can be made during Cycle 2 without violating the Fq envelope.
It should also be noted, as explained in our letter of January 9,1980 to Darrell Eisenhut, that we have. completed a reanalysis of the Trojan ECCS performance using the latest NRC-approved Westinghouse ECCS evalua-tion model. These calculations demonstrated sufficient conservatism so that we intend to relax the current administrative Fq limit of 2.25 and return to the Technical Specification limit of 2.32 following final in-i house safety review and concurrence.
