This refers to the letter, SBN-147, by Mr. John DeVincentis dated January 8, 1981, in response to our Immediate Action Letter (IAL) 80-55 dated December 22, 1980.
Thank you for informing us of the corrective and preventive actions documented in that letter. These actions and longer term comitments will be examined during future inspections of your licensed program.
In accordance with your request, we agree that the stop work order issued on repair welding operations by Pullman-Higgins may be removed upon satisfactory completion of the actions described in Items 1 through 4 of your letter, currently scheduled for January 16, 1981. This matter was discussed in a telephone conversation between Mr. W. Johnson, Vice President, Yankee Atomic Electric Company, and Mr. L. E. Tripp of this office on January 13, 1981.
