NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMEN 0 MENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Conmission (the Commission) has issued Amendment No. 44 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-1, issued Eto Portland General Electric Company, the City of Eugene, Oregon, and Pacific Power and Light Company (the licensees), which revised Technical Specifications for operation of Trojan Nuclear Plant (the facility) located in Colun' ia County, 0regon. The amendment is effective o
as of the date of issuance.
The amendment revises power distribution and control rod insertion limits for the reactor core.
The application for the amendment complies with the standards and requirements of the ' Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's rules and regulations. The Commission has mad.e appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment.
Prior public notice e this anendment was not required since this amendment does not.wolve a significant hazards consideration.

The-Commission has cetermined that the issuance of this amendment will not result in any'sigr.ificant environmental impact and that pursuant to 10 CFR 51.5(d)(4) an environmental impact sta'ement or negative deciaration and environmental impact appraisal need not be prepared in' connection with issuance of this amendment.
