Nuclear Ragulatory Ccmmissicn (the Ccenissicn) has issued Amendment No. 46 ta Facility Cperating License No. CPR 40 issued to Ceaha Public Power Dis rict (the licensee) wnich revised Technical Specifica:icns for oceration of the Fort Calhoun Station, Unit "o.1 (the facility), located in Wasnington County, 'lecraska.

The amendment is effective as of its date of issucnce.

The amencment reviset the Technical Specifications to incorporate turveillance recuirements for ins ection of steam generatar tuces and to replace the current inservice inspection Technical Scecificaticns witn an inservice inscection program that meets the requirements of 10 CFR 50.55a.

3 7590-01 The acclicaticn for Me amenc-en and recuest for relief ccroly with the stancarcs and -ecuirements of :ne Atomic Energy Act of 195J. as amended (the Act), and One Ccmission's rules and regulations. 7he Comission has made accropriata findings as required by the Act and the Cornmission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, wnich are set for n in the license amendment, and letter and safety evaluation granting relief. Prior puolic notice of the amerdment was not r? quired since the amendmen*. does not involve a significant ha:ards consideration.

The Comission has determined that the issuance of tnis amendment and the granting of this ralief will not result in any significant environmental impact and tnat pursuant to 10 CFR s 51.5(d'(4) an envircnmental impact statement or negative declaration an; environmental impact appraisal need not be precared in connecticn with issuance of this action.
