RE: MD 9537 Alan...note that the HPSI pressure is right before it reaches the RCS during shutdown flow test.
Containment walkdowns at NOP/NOT check for leaks at normal RCS pressures which will be seen all the way from the cold leg piping up to the penetrations. The HPSI piping outside containment sees a pressure of ~1450 psig during each quarterly run, through the piping up to the penetration room.
During last HPSI full flow surveillance, pump discharge pressure at pressure indicator 2PI-5108 (header
- 1) was 498 psig and 2PI-5109 (header 2) was 555 psig. These are the last pressure indicators before entering the RCS piping.
LPSI is typically pressurized to approximately 275 psia.
Safety Injection is typically pressurized between 600 psig and 624 psig.
Shutdown Cooling is typically pressurized to approximately 275 psia.
LTOP is typically pressurized to approximately 275 psig.
Auxiliary Spray Piping is typically pressurized to approximately 275 psig.

FW: MD 9537 Dave, I don't remember if I forwarded this to you previously or not regarding the RR for visual examination of extended reactor coolant pressure boundary piping during system leak test for Unit 2. Alan From: Prakash Patnaik Sent: Monday, February 02, 2009 4:37 PM To: Alan Wang

- Alan, Can we get an e-mail response from the licensee on the following? This need not be docketed. I want to put the info in my SE. I couldn't find the info in the FSAR. Even the phone call is O.K.
o At what pressure does the licensee perform the Class 2 system pressure test for HPSI, LPSI, Shutdown Cooling, LTOP and Auxiliary Pressurizer Spray Piping?
Thanks!
