JAMES A. FITZPATRICK NUCLEAR POWER PLANT - TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION AMENDMENT TO DC ELECTRICAL SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS (TAC NO. MC7204)
Dear Mr. Kansler:
On June 7, 2005, I sent you a letter with a copy of a Federal Register notice for exigent processing of an amendment request for safety-related battery systems at the James A.
FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant. The amendment request was dated April 27, 2005, and was supplemented by a letter dated June 3, 2005. I have since been informed that the problem with the battery charger has been resolved. Therefore, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission will now process this amendment request using the normal protocol. Our technical staff has also informed me that the amendment request is too large and complex to process on an exigent basis. If a problem with the battery charger reoccurs, and you desire exigent processing again, please submit an amendment request which only covers the changes in Technical Specifications needed on an exigent basis.
