Foreachsystemwithin(including cables,EPAs,terminalblocks,etc.)themasterlistidentifyeachClassIEelectrical equipment itemthatisrequiredtofunctionunderaccidentconditions.
Pages1and2ofAttachment 2arestandardformatstobeusedforthe"masterlist"withtypicalinformation included.
Electrical equipment items,whicharecomponents ofsystemslistedinAppendixAofAttachment 4,whichareassumedtooperateintheFSARsafetyanalysisandarereliedontomitigatedesignbasiseventsareconsidered inthescopeofthisBulletin, regardless whetherornottheyareclassified aspartoftheengineered safetyfeatureswhentheplantwasoriginally licensed,tooperate.Thenecessity forfurtherupgrading ofnon-safety relatedplantsystemswillbedependent ontheoutcomeofthelicensees andtheNRCreviewssubsequent toTMI/2.~ResonseThefollowing additions toourMarch28,1980submittal havebeenidentified:

Thisevaluation indicates thatcertaingeneralareasmaybesubjecttoharshenvironmental conditions oftemperature andrelativehumidity.
Thespecificresultsofthisevaluation areincludedinresponsetoguestion3.NiagaraMohawkispresently identifying equipment intheharshenvironment areasoutsidetheprimarycontainment andwillsubmitcomponent qualification evaluation worksheets forsuchequipment byMarch31,1981.(}uestion 3Forequipment identified inItems1and2,provideservicecondition profiles(i.e.,temperature,
- pressure, etc.asafunctionoftime).Thisdatashouldbeprovidedfordesignbasisaccidentconditions andqualification testsperformed.

Localareasmayseedirect'team orwaterimpingement andhighertemperatures.
Oetailedradiation serviceconditions outsideoftheNineMilePointUnit1primarycontainment following aLOCAarebeingevaluated.
Preliminarily, ithasbeendetermined thatthecontainment spraypipingoutsideoftheprimarycontainment isthemainshinesource.Integrated radiation dosesinareaswhereradiation sensitive-equipment maybelocatedwillbeincludedinevaluation worksheets tobeprovidedbyMarch31,1981.guestion4Evaluatethequalification ofyourClassIEelectricalequipment againsttheguidelines providedinAttachment 4.Attachment 5,"InterimStaffPositiononEnvironmental gualification ofSafety-Related Electrical Equipment",
