RE: Turtle Stranding - Plymouth 2003 Hi Jill, We don't have any way of knowing the age of sea turtles. The Plymouth loggerhead weighed about 50 pounds and might have been about 4 or 5 years old. Still a baby when you consider they can weigh as much as 400 pounds.

Bob

RE: Turtle Stranding - Plymouth 2003 Hi Bob, Again, thank you fro the information on the loggerhead in Plymouth. One additional piece of information which I would be interested in if it is available would be the approximate age of the loggerhead which stranded in Plymouth.

Thanks, Jill

RE: Turtle Stranding - Plymouth 2003 Hi Jill, The loggerhead you are inquiring about stranded on November 5, 2003 on Priscilla Beach. I'd have to check my records to be sure, but, I believe it is the only sea turtle to have stranded in Plymouth in 25 years of my keeping records.

Bob

Turtle Stranding - Plymouth 2003 Good Afternoon, 3/3/2005

I am doing research into sea turtle strandings which have taken place in Massachusetts within the past few years. In the year 2003, one turtle, a loggerhead, was discovered DOA in Plymouth. Would it be possible to know the location where the turtle was found?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.
