This letter is to inform you of a major realigning of the APS quality
'assurance organizational structure. The APS Corporate Quality Assurance Manager, previously under the direction of the Vice President, Nuclear Projects Management, now reports directly the Operations Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. The PVNGS Operations Quality Assurance Manager, previously under the direction of the Manager of Nuclear Operations, now reports directly to the Corporate Quality Assurance Manager.
The Corporate Quality Assurance Department is now responsible for establish-ing and implementing all quality assurance/quality control programs company-wide. This organizational realignment further emphasizes APS commitment to total independence of the quality assurance function.
Attachments 1 and 2 show the reporting relationship of the Corporate Quality Assurance Manager and the organizational structure of the Corporate Quality Assurance Department resulting from the realignment. The quality assurance organizational structure shown in the PVNGS FSAR will be updated, to re-flect this realignment, in a future admendment.
