Dear Mr. Reddemann:
By letter dated February 28, 2013 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML13071A470), Energy Northwest, (the licensee) submitted an Overall Integrated Plan (OIP) in response to the March 12, 2012, U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Order modifying licenses with regard to requirements for Reliable Spent Fuel Pool (SFP)
Instrumentation (Order EA-12-051; ADAMS Accession No. ML12054A679) for Columbia Generating Station. Portions of the letter dated February 28, 2013, contain security-related information and have been withheld from public disclosure.
The NRC staff has reviewed the information provided by the licensee and determined that additional information identified in the Enclosure to this letter is needed in order for the NRC staff to complete its review. The draft copy of the request for additional information was provided to Ms. Lisa Williams of your staff via e*mail on June 7, 2013. The responses are due July 19, 2013.
