Interim Report - Reportable 10 CFR 50.63 (e) Item - Westinghouse 3 Inch Motor Operated Gate Valves
Dear Sir:
On Thursday, October 30, 1980, we reported that Westinghouse 3 inch motor operated gate valves identified 3 GM78, 3 GM88 and 3 GM99 were considered a reportable item under 10 CFR 50.55 (e). This interim report is being filed in accordance with the thirty day reporting requirements of 10 CFR 50.55 (e) .
Testing la in progress to determine the cause and corrective action to correct this problem. The testing is scheduled to be completed early in 1981.
i Upon review of the test results a corrective action will be generated. We will l update this interim report upon definition of the proposed corrective action.
