IMPLEMENTATION OF COMMISSION ACTION: PROPOSED RULE,

" EXPAND APPLICABILITY OF PART 72 TO HOLDERS OF, AND APPLICANTS FOR, CERTIFICATES OF COMPLIANCE AND THEIR CONTRACTORS AND SUBCONTRACTORS" I

By a Staff Requirements Memoranoum dated June 30,1998, the Secretary of the Commission indicated that the Commission has approved the proposed rule on Expand Applicability of Part 72 to Holders of, and Applicants for, certificates of Compliance and Their Contractors and Subcontractors set out in SECY-98-113. Please implement the Commission's action ty arranging for publication of the attached proposed rule in the Federa! Reaister al!cvving 75 days

. for public comment.

Attached is a copy of the Federal Register notice that incorporates the Commission's changes to SECY-98-113. Also attached is a 3.5 inch diskette in word perfect 6.1 which contains all pertinent documents related to this rule. Also attached is a Congressional letter package for transmittal to the Office of Congressional Affairs and two copies of the press release for transmittal to the Officc of Public Affairs.
