My 7 lmeren Callaway Plant MISSOURI December 10, 2025 ULNRC-06986 U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Attn: Document Control Desk Washington, DC 20555-0001 10 CFR 50.55a Ladies and Gentlemen:

DOCKET NUMBER 50-483 CALLAWAY PLANT UNIT 1 UNION ELECTRIC CO.

RENEWED FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NPF-30 10 CFR 50.55a REQUEST FOR RELIEF FROM IMPRACTICAL EXAMINATION COVERAGE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE FOURTH TEN-YEAR INSERVICE INSPECTION PROGRAM INTERVAL Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.55a(g)(5)(iii), Union Electric Company (Ameren Missouri) hereby requests relief for Callaway Plant from examination coverage requirements of [WA-2200(c) imposed by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code,Section XI, 2007 Edition through 2008 Addenda.

Ameren Missouri is submitting the enclosed Relief Request I4R-06 for the fourth Inservice Inspection (ISD) interval, which ended December 18, 2024. Relief is being requested for certain weld examinations performed where the required coverage of "essentially 100%" could not be obtained, as clarified in IWA-2200(c), when the subject welds were examined to the extent practical. Relief Request I4R-06 provides the bases for the determination that compliance with the IWA-2200(c) is impractical.

This letter does not contain new commitments. If there are questions, please contact Jeremy Morton at 314-225-1803.

Sincerely, Marner 1), Bare Thomas B. Elwood Manager, Regulatory Affairs ESS
