STAFF REQUIREMENTS - COMSECY-06-0052 - STATUS OF BROWNS FERRY UNIT 1 RECOVERY PROJECT The Commission believes that it is premature to authorize the Region II Administrator to allow restart of the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant (BFN) Unit 1 and, therefore, chooses not to approve the staff request at this time. The Commission is willing to reconsider this decision after the Commission briefing scheduled in January 2007. The Commission will provide further direction, as appropriate, in a Staff Requirements Memorandum (SRM) following the January meeting.
