Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR)
Items of Interest Week Ending September 9, 2022 NRC Hosts the Annual Reactor Health Physics Inspector Counterpart Meeting On September 7 and 8, NRR staff hosted the 2022 Annual Reactor Health Physics Inspector Counterpart meeting, which was held virtually. Approximately 35 participants from the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR), the Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research (RES), all four Regions, and the Technical Training Center (TTC) attended. Topics of discussion in the radiation protection arena included updates to the reactor oversight process, current rulemaking activities, recent inspection findings, radiation monitor calibration, and updates to computer codes used in radiological applications. The counterpart meeting was very well-received by staff and allowed for a venue to share insights regarding radiation protection issues across the agency.

Dell Laptops and Monitors Including Peripherals and Accessories On September 2, 2022, contract number GS35F0889N/31310022F0089 was awarded to MCP Computer Products, Inc. in San Marcos, CA. The purpose of this contract is to purchase Dell laptops and monitors, including peripherals and accessories. The period of performance is from September 2, 2022, through September 1, 2023, with no option periods. The total potential value of the contract can be up to $5,019,795.74.
