Pursuant to 10CFR26.71 (d), "Recordkeeping requirements," enclosed is River Bend Station's Fitness-for-Duty (FFD) Six-Month Program Performance Data Report for the report period July 1, 2001, through December 31, 2001. This report contains statistical data and trend analysis compiled by the Fitness-for-Duty Department. We have reviewed this data and determined that no programmatic weaknesses exist.

SUMMARY
The RBS annual random testing rate is 50 percent. During this reporting period, approximately 21.8 percent of the population have been randomly tested. The rate of positive tests from random testing is 4.5 percent. The total random percentage for the year is 51.6 percent.
POSITIVE RESULTS:
Four contract employees tested positive for marijuana during pre-access screening and one contract employee on a for-cause. Four contract employees tested positive for alcohol during pre-access screening. Two contract employees tested positive for alcohol during for-cause testing (one of these employees also tested positive for marijuana).
MANAGEMENT ACTIONS:
Access was denied for all ten contract employees who tested positive for marijuana and alcohol. Management was notified and their individual files were annotated to reflect the positive results and the actions taken.
Two employees participated in the follow-up program during this reporting period and two follow-up tests were administered to these employees.
EVENTS REPORTED TO THE NRC:
During this reporting period, there were no violations of the fitness for duty program that were reportable.
PROGRAM EVALUATION:
No programmatic problems were identified during this reporting period.
