Dear Sir:
Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc, (ENO) received the referenced letter dated December 2, 2014, related to the methodology for monitoring external dose and the subsequent dose assessments performed when control rod drive (CRD) housings were replaced in February and March 2014.
The letter proposes a white finding and two apparent violations of Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) requirements, and provides ENO the option to affend a regulatory conference, or submit the ENO position on the finding, in writing, within 30 days. In addition, the letter requires a 10-day response to notify the NRC of the intended choice.
ENO is requesting that a regulatory conference be scheduled to address the apparent violation.
This letter contains no new commitments and no revisions to existing commitments.
