By letter dated July 24, 2012 (Reference), the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) informed NextEra Energy Point Beach, LLC (NextEra) of plans for a future inspection of Point Beach Nuclear Plant (PBNP), in accordance with lnspection Procedure 95001, "Supplemental lnspection for One or Two White Inputs in a Strategic Performance Area," for the logic error in a NextEra Emergency Plan Implementing Procedure. Additionally, the NRC determined that NextEra did not initiate protective action recommendations when the projected dose to an individual was 1 rem beyond the 10-mile plume exposure pathway.
This letter is to notify the NRC that PBNP is ready for the 95001 inspection. Accordingly, NextEra requests the NRC to commence the 95001 inspection on March 4,2013.
This letter contains no new Regulatory Commitments and no revisions to existing Regulatory Commitments.
