Dear Ms. Vietti-Cook:
By letter dated October 13, 2004, Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC) submitted the latest version (Revision 0) of the combined SNC Security Plan for Edwin 1. Hatch Nuclear Plant, Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant, and Vogtle Electric Generating Plant as required by Order EA-03-086. Integral in tile submittal was a discussion of channeling features which, according to the NRC reviewers, required additional information. The attachment to this letter provides this information. SNC representatives are available to meet with NRC staff on this issue at your request.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.202(b), the following affirmation is provided:
Mr. J. T. Gasser states he is Executive Vice President and Chief Nuclear Officer of Southern Nuclear Operating Company, is authorized to execute this oath on behalf of Southern Nuclear Operating Company and to the best of his knowledge and belief, the facts set forth in this letter are true.
