TELEPilONE: Gl9) 851-731R Monthly Operational Overview for July 1993:

1 At the beginning of July, DAEC had coasted-down to 79% of licensed thermal power.

Thermal power has uniformly decreased approximately % % per day since April 5, the end of

-l full power capability for Cycle 12.

-j i

On July 2 electric output was briefly reduced 30 MWHe to close the ' 'D' inboard Main

.j Steam Isolation Valve (MSIV) after a ground fault in the 125 Volt DC System was traced to the penetration containing the 'D' inboard MSIV limit switch cables. - On July 8 electric output was reduced 10 MWHe to reopen the MSIV after installing meters to monitor the circuit path to the position switches. On July 9 a Recirc Pump runback caused a brief 150 r

MWHe reduction in electric output.

13efore shutting down July 29, power level had declined to 73%. The generator was disconnected from the grid at 03:46 hours, officially beginning Refuel Outage 12. The plant had begun Cycle 12 April 26,1992 at 16:40 hours. Thermal capacity factor for the cycle was 90.7%.
