SUMMARY
REPORT July 1, 2001 TO December 31, 2001 SYNOPSIS:
During this reporting period, Nuclear Management Company(NMC)/Duane Arnold Energy Center (DAEC) conducted 209 drug and alcohol tests in accordance with 10 CFR Part 26. The break down for this period's testing activity is:

0 Positive The NMC/DAEC follows the guidelines as provided in 10 CFR Part 26, Appendix A for types of substances and cut-off levels for positive test results. The random testing rate for this period was around 27.41 percent of the average population. The total for all of 2001 was 51.22 percent.
MANAGEMENT ACTIONS TAKEN:
For the reporting period ending December 31, 2001, there were no positive drug or alcohol test requiring management actions.
EFFECTIVENESS EVALUATION:
NMC/DAEC continues to implement a Fitness for Duty Program that is effective in achieving the objectives of 10 CFR Part 26.
