By order dated April 25, 2024 (Reference 1), the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff approved the license transfer application dated September 1, 2023 (Reference 2),
submitted by GE-Hitachi Nuclear Energy Americas, LLC and NorthStar Vallecitos, LLC. The order approved the direct transfer of License Nos. DPR-1, TR-1, R-33, and DR-10, as well as Special Nuclear Material License No. SNM-960, for the Vallecitos Nuclear Center from GE-Hitachi Nuclear Energy Americas, LLC to NorthStar Vallecitos, LLC. The conforming license amendments related to the order approving the transfer of the Vallecitos Nuclear Center Licenses were approved on March 14, 2025 (Reference 3).

As a result of the completed license and decommissioning fund transfers to NorthStar Vallecitos, LLC, GE-Hitachi Nuclear Energy Americas, LLC requests that the surety bonds related to the dockets be cancelled and returned to GE-Hitachi Nuclear Energy at the address above.
