No: 25-008 February 3, 2025 CONTACT: Office of Public Affairs, 301-415-8200 NRCs 37th Annual Regulatory Information Conference to Focus on the Next 50 Years Registration for the Nuclear Regulatory Commissions 37th annual Regulatory Information Conference is open. The RIC will be held March 11-13 in North Bethesda, Maryland, and online. Please join the several thousand conferees from the United States and around the world for this three-day hybrid event.
This years conference will focus on charting the next 50 years, starting with an address from NRC Chairman David A. Wright, during which he will share his vision and priorities for the agency.
On March 11, special guest U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works and the sponsor of the ADVANCE Act, will highlight her efforts to strengthen Americas nuclear energy leadership and enable the NRC to achieve its mission.
This conference is the premier event for the NRC each year, drawing thousands of attendees interested in the NRCs crucial mission of safety and security, said Wright.
Throughout the conference, well hear from leaders from every part of the nuclear industry, highlight our preparations for the future, and gather valuable insights from participants that will help guide our decisions and planning.
Additional program highlights include plenary sessions with NRC Commissioners Annie Caputo, Christopher T. Hanson, Bradley R. Crowell, and Matthew J. Marzano. The RIC plenary sessions will also include remarks by NRC Executive Director for Operations Mirela Gavrilas.
The conference, which is free to the public, is jointly hosted by the NRCs offices of Nuclear Reactor Regulation and Nuclear Regulatory Research. Registration is required.
