By letter dated January 19, 2024 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Package Accession No.ML24019A009), as supplemented by letters dated January 22, 2024 (ML24022A292), and November 1, 2024 (ML24283A091), Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) submitted an application for subsequent license renewal of Renewed Facility Operating License Nos.DPR-33, DPR-52, and DPR-68 for Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant, Units 1, 2, and 3, respectively, to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC staff). TVA submitted the application pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 54, Requirements for Renewal of Operating Licenses for Nuclear Power Plants, for subsequent license renewal.
The NRC staff is in the process of reviewing your application. Based on our review, the NRC staff has identified the attached request for additional information (RAI). The staff held a clarification call with members of your staff on December 6, 2024. As a result of the clarification call, RAI NVIB 3.5.2.2.2.6-2 was modified. The schedule for your response to this RAI was discussed with Peter Donahue of your staff, and a mutually agreeable date for the response is within 30 days from the date of this email.
