U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION FEEDBACK REGARDING WESTINGHOUSE AP300 SMR CORE DESIGN & FUEL CYCLE WHITE PAPER FOR PRE-APPLICATION ENGAGEMENT (EPID NO. L-2024-LRM-0010)
Dear Ms. Christian:
By letter dated February 27, 2024 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML24060A158), Westinghouse Electric Company submitted the subject white paper for U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff review. The white paper describes the general design of the Westinghouse AP300 small modular fuel, fueling strategy, and related equipment. A pre-submittal meeting was held on February 2, 2024 (ML24036A213).
The proprietary enclosure to this letter provides the staffs feedback and observations for Westinghouse to consider in a subsequent application.
