SUMMARY
OF THE JULY 10, 2023, PUBLIC OUTREACH TO DISCUSS THE NRC 2022 END-OF-CYCLE PLANT PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT OF POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 On July 10, 2023, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (CDT), an information meeting was held by representatives of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to provide the public with information on the 2022 end-of-cycle plant performance assessment of Point Beach Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2, and with general information on the NRC. The meeting was held at the Two Rivers Fire Department, in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. The NRC representatives were available to discuss plant performance with members of the public. Representatives from NextEra Energy were also present at the event.
The NRC was available to discuss their assessment of Point Beach Nuclear Plant performance during the public outreach. The assessment information was documented in the March 1, 2023, end-of-cycle assessment letter (ADAMS Accession Number ML23055A306). Representatives from the NRC made copies of the above letter and other materials available to the public in attendance. At the end of the presentation, members of the public were given the opportunity to ask questions of NRC staff and NextEra Energy representatives.
