SUMMARY
OF THE DECEMBER 13, 2021, CLOSED MEETING REGARDING X ENERGY, LLCS: XE-100 TOPICAL REPORT TRANSIENT AND SAFETY ANALYSIS METHODOLOGIES FRAMEWORK On December 13, 2021, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a closed meeting with representatives from X Energy, LLC (X-energy) regarding the Xe-100 Topical Report: Transient and Safety Analysis Methodologies Framework for the Xe-100 reactor design, which was submitted to the NRC staff on October 8, 2021 (Agencywide Documents Access System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML21288A172). The public meeting notice and agenda are also available in ADAMS (ML21344A166). The Enclosure provides the list of meeting attendees.
Meeting Summary The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and get clarification of X-energys request for the NRC staffs review and approval of X-energys approach submitted in the subject topical report, regarding performing transient and safety analyses for the Xe-100 reactor.
In accordance with Management Directive 3.5, Attendance at NRC Staff-Sponsored Meetings (ML21180A271), the meeting was closed because the discussion involved proprietary details related to the X-energy licensing strategy.
