REQUEST FOR SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION TO SUPPORT THE ACCEPTANCE REVIEW OF LOUISIANA ENERGY SERVICES, LLC RISK ASSESSMENT REPORT FOR CLASSIFIED SYSTEMS (ENTERPRISE PROJECT IDENTIFICATION NUMBER L-2021-LLL-0007)
Dear Mr. Padgett:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) received Louisiana Energy Services, LLCs (dba Urenco, USA (UUSA)) letter dated October 7, 2021, Submittal of Risk Assessment Report for Classified Systems, (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)
Accession No. ML21286A133, non-public). It provides UUSAs assessment of risk categorization for the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of classified systems. The NRC staff performed an acceptance review of the submittal to determine if it contains sufficient technical information to allow the NRC staff to complete the detailed technical review.
The purpose of this letter is to advise you that the submittal is missing some critical technical information. The information needed to proceed with the formal review is described in the enclosed request for supplemental information (RSI).
Upon receipt, please review the RSI and let the NRC staff know if a follow-up meeting or call would be beneficial to discuss the RSI or your proposed response. Please develop a formal response within 30 days of receipt of this letter. Note that the formal review of the risk assessment report for classified systems will be placed on hold pending receipt of the necessary supplemental information. A review schedule will be provided once the acceptance letter is issued.
The NRC staff is reviewing this risk assessment report under Enterprise Project Identification Number L-2021-LLL-0007.
