Meeting Between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Petition Review Board and Public Watchdogs Regarding a 2.206 Petition Request Submitted on October 13, 2020 DATE & TIME:

The purpose of this meeting is to provide the Public Watchdogs an opportunity to clarify and/or supplement its October 13, 2020, 2.206 petition request (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System [ADAMS] Accession No. ML20294A388) with the members of the Petition Review Board (PRB), comprised of U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff, consistent with NRC Management Directive (MD) 8.11, Review Process for 10 CFR 2.206 Petitions.Section III.F. The incoming 2.206 petition requested that the NRC take enforcement action in the form of Demands for Information to Southern California Edison (SCE), Holtec, and all other licensees, using the Holtec HI-STORM UMAX storage system, whose licensing documents claim that there are no credible events that could result in the release of radioactive materials from the UMAX storage system.

CATEGORY1:

This is a Category 1 meeting. The members of the public are invited to participate in this meeting by discussing regulatory issues with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) at designated points identified on the agenda.
