Dear NRC Commissioners and Staff,

I am opposed to the Consolidated Interim Storage Facility [CISF] licensing for Spent Nuclear Fuel and High Level Waste.

This so called spent nuclear fuel or "waste" is a valuable component for the fuel cycles of some of the Gen IV power plant designs. Approving a license for an unwanted CISF provides no cost benefit, incurs unnecessary risk and anger, and delays the inevitable transition to advanced nuclear.

NRC policy ought be better informed by science and help with incentives to develop advanced nuclear and to focus on its safety and licensing requirements. Please show the nation leadership in energy policy and our ability to compete with China's strong commitment to advanced nuclear.
