Audit Entrance Meeting - Oklo Aurora Step 1 Maximum Credible Accident Request for Additional Information Audit Hi Alex, This email serves as the entrance meeting for the Oklo Aurora Step 1 Maximum Credible Accident Request for Additional Information Audit. The Audit Plan is available in NRCs public ADAMS ML20265A273. NRC does not anticipate needing any audit meetings apart from a possible exit meeting, which could also be accomplished with an email. We are requesting that Oklo load to BOX existing documentation supporting the MCA selection. We do not expect Oklo to create any new documents.
Documentation could be related to any of the four questions in the MCA RAI. This includes:
Information supporting Oklos definition of credible beyond what is in the FSAR.
Documentation of Oklos review of potential initiating events and any review of various equipment failure modes.
Documentation on reactor cell can robustness and leak tightness, including design drawings for the cell can, the capsule, capsule lid, the module shell, module shell lid, and the mechanical equipment housing and penetrations for these components. Loading design drawings to BOX is acceptable.
Documentation that supports crediting a reactor trip initiated through the measurement technique described in FSAR Section 2.7.2.7.2.
We request that these documents be loaded to BOX starting tomorrow September 30, 2020 and with the upload to be completed by October 6, 2020. This will give NRC staff enough time to be ready to review your RAI response which is due on October 14, 2020. Once you have loaded documents to BOX, we will review them to improve our understanding of the MCA selection and accelerate the resolution of the Step 1 review.
