This will acknowledge receipt of your license application dated April 3,1989 for the export of components to the People's Republic of China.
.Your application was assigned the number XCOM1023, and, in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 110.41(a) the application was forwarded to the Executive Branch for review on April 11, 1989. A copy of the application was also placed in the NRC's o blic Document Room. Note that we are treating this application. as u
a component export request and not as a request to export a nuclear " utilization facility" as defined in Part 110. As discussed with you, this also means that the coolant pump components included in your application do not, in the aggregate, constitute one or more complete primary coolant pumps, since such pumps are defined as utilization facilities for export control purposes.
We note that your app'ication includes steam turbbe generator parts.
Inasmuch as the:;e parts are under the export control authority of the Department of. Consnerce, you should submit a separate application to Commerce regarding them.
