AGENDA FOR SEQUOYAH SITE VISIT RELATED TO CABLE SYSTEM CONCERNS-September 23, 1986 1.

A short meeting with electricians who were involved with installation of the Sequoyah cables during construction (if possible) to discuss plant specific concerns derived from the walkdowns at Watts Bar and evaluation of the'16 isometric drawings for the conduits (1 to 11 hours1.273148e-4 days
0.00306 hours
1.818783e-5 weeks
4.1855e-6 months
).

2.

A meeting to discuss the methods used to select the 16 conduits that were included in the side-wall bearing pressure evaluation and to discuss'the assumptions and methods used.for the calculations (1 to li hours).

3.

In order to evaluate cable pulling concerns for Sequoyah restart, it is necessary to inspect the 6.9 kV and 480 V cable systems. Therefore, the '

o following are requested to be ready for inspection.

w 1.

The cable teminations of one diesel generator.

2.

The switchgear teminations of the same diesel generatcr..

3.

A manhole in the 6.9 kV cable conduit runs 9 the diesel generators (if any exist).

4.

The cable tenninations to at least one 6.9 kV motor.

5.

The switchgear connections for 400 to 750 MCM, 480 V cable (both at power source and load connections).

If the cables from the 6.9 kV and 480 V switchgear enter cable trays in the vicinity of the switchgear, suitable ladders or scaffolding is desired to allow evaluation of the bend radii of the cables as they enter the tray system.

September 24, 1986 4.

'A plant walkdown to inspect the cables in the 16 conduits at pull points and terminations to evaluate the cables for signs of distress.

5.

Evaluation of unsupported cable between cable trays and conduits (Electrical Spread Room, and Elevation 714, Coordinate A12S).

6.

At the end of the day a short exit meeting will be held to describe concerns and observations resulting from the inspection.
