Operation of p11 grin nuc1 car Pouer Station in accordance with the present Technical Specifications has revealed that section 3,8.D.2 of the r;pecifica-tic.nr. c.hould be revised to r, ore accurately describe the intent of the specificat, ion and provide operational flexibility.

Accordingly, Boston Edison Co:arany hereby requests that the attached proposed revisions to Technical Specification pagen 179,179A,179B,.191A and 191E be issued to provide the nece :se.ry clarification and definition.

This cub:aitt al has been approved by the Onsite Revity Comittee bat han not been revicued by the Nuclear Safety Revicu and Audit Comit tee (NSEAC).

NSRAC review is underway nnd vill be completed during the week beginning itay 27. 1975.

This proposed Technical Specification nur.t be considered te porary sin'cc it does not reflect the requirerents contained in the r,cw Appendix I to 10 CrR 50 ist.ued by the Cannission on April 30,1975 (and published in the Federal ncaister, Volune 40, No. 87, May 5, 1975).

Boston Edison vill propose further revisions to the Technical Specifications on offluent releases in accordan:o with the new Appendix I not later than June 4,1976.
