ROUTINE SAFETY INSPECTION REPORT NO. 50 030/98201 AND

50 185/98201

This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted on January 28 through 29,1998, at

the Pium Brook Reactor Facility (PBRF). The purpose of the inspection was to determine

whether activities authorized by the license were conducted safely and in accordance with

NRC requirements. At the conclusion of the inspection, the findings were discussed with

you and members of your staff.

Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the enclosed report. Within these

areas, the inspection consisted of a selective examination of procedures and representative

records, interviews with personnel, observation of activities in progress, and a

No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the course of this inspection.

In accordance with 10 CFR Part 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this

letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
