NRC INSPECTION REPORT NO. 50-331/99002(DRS)
Dear Mr. Franz:
On January 21,1999, the NRC completed an inspection at your Duane Arnold Energy Center.
The enclosed report presents the results of the inspection.
The purpose of the inspection was to review corrective actions for previously identified issues
from the System Operational Performance Inspection completed April 25,1997. The inspector
concluded that your staff had been effective in implementing corrective actions for the items
reviewed.
The inspection consisted of a selective examination of procedures and representative records,
observations, and interviews with personnel.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its
'
enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
We will gladly discuss any questions you have conceming this inspection.
