FEEDBACK INTERVIEW 0F ALLEGER A-60 On November 15,1984,the TRT met with Alleger A-60 to provide feedback on his issues (AQ-55 and AQ-78) on the Comanche Peak Nuclear Plant. The alleger's concern is that QC hold points were missing on the rework procedures for the transfer canal stainless steel liner.
The TRT members present were: John Zudans, Vince Noonan, Herb Livermore, Jim Gagliardo, Charles Richards, and Tom Curry. Mr. Curry presented the results of the TRT's investigative work on these issues. The TRT concluded that some reported anomalies were not adequately explained. Some of them violate procedures; some appear to use inadequate procedures. The issues do have safety significance, and they have some generic implications of QA-QC breakdown on liner rework.
The alleger repeatedly reminded the TRT that he had issues, or concerns, but not allegations, concerning the rework of the transfer canal stainless steel liner. The TRT promised to strike the word "alle of this meeting and substitute the word " concern"gation" from the transcript in its place.
The alleger was also concerned about protecting his confidentiality. The TRT assured the alleger that his confidentiality was being protected. He requested a copy of the Confidential Agreement that he had signed with the NRC.
Zudans promised to send him a copy.
The alleger was satisfied with the TRT's resolution of his concerns. The TRT promised to send a copy of the SER that contained the resolution of these concerns to the alleger.
