i By letter dated April 22, 1998, McGuire provided the analysis of capsule Y (WCAP-14993) from the McGuire Unit 1 reactor vessel radiation surveillance program.
The surveillance weld data set credibility was questioned due l
to one point exceeding Regulatory Guide'1.99, Revision 2 l
criteria of 28 degrees F.
The NRC guidelines for assessing credibility provided at the November 17, 1997 and February.
l 12, 1998 meetings on RPV Integrity Assessment were applied to assess the credibility of the McGuire Unit 1 surveillance weld data.
Based on the attached evaluation, it'has been determined that the McGuire Unit 1 surveillance data meets the credibility criteria; therefore, the basis j
for the current PT limit curves for McGuire Unit 1 continue to be valid.
