DOCKET NOS. 50-280, 50-281,-50-338 AND 50-339 This acknowledges the receipt of your letters of April 1,1986, which transmitted Revisions dated April 1, 1986, to the Surry and North Anna Safeguards Contingency Plans. This revision removed Chapter 8, entitled Response to Security Contin-gencies, from the Security Plan and established it as a separate document retitled Security Contingency Plan.
Our review of the changes has found most of them to be consistent with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(p). Accordingly, they are acceptable for inclusion into the plan. However, as indicated in the Enclosure, certain other changes are in need of administrative clarifications.
On May 7, 1986, Ms. C. Perny of Region II discussed our concerns with Mr. W. Hellems of your staff and with Mr. N. Mattin on May 13, 1986.
Please modify your plans to accommodate the enclosed comments and submit corrected plan pages as necessary to maintain plan continuity.
The enclosure to your letter is being withheld from public disclosure because it contains Safeguards Information and must be protected in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR Part 73.21.
The material enclosed herewith contains Safeguards Information as defined by 10 CFR 73.21 and its disclosure to unauthorized individuals is prohibited by Section 147 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended.
Therefore, the enclosure will not be placed in the Public Document Room.
