We are opposed to Steve Bannonite "deconstruction of the administrative state." It is one thing to deny science, another to stymie it. Wheeler eliminated the agencys Office of the Science Advisor, which counseled the EPA administrator on research supporting health and environmental standards, and placed the head of the EPAs Office of Childrens Health Protection on administrative leave.
The EPA budget is outside the scope of this guidance document. No changes were made in response to this comment.
2 Lorie Abolafia-Cartwright General Comment I write to object to any sweeping measures to store irradiated materials in any new manner without comprehensive, thorough public oversight and review.
the covid19 scare and protocols is not license to shortcut, bypass or derail the oversight of the most toxic substances on the planet. The fact this is even being considered is incomprehensible and vile. Shame on you. These substances must be disposed of in the most careful and meticulous manner possible. Always. No matter what. Our lives, all lives depend on it. the health and vitality of our planet and every living thing on it depends on it.
Irradiated fuel is outside the scope of this guidance document. This guidance is limited to receipt and storage of new, unirradiated fuel and associated radioactive material.
