DPR-42 50-306 DPR-60 Response to IE Bulletin 85-01 The following information is offered in response to IE Bulletin 85-01:
Fluid conditions within the AFW system are monitored twice a shif t during times when the system is required to be operable. Monitoring is done by touching the pipe.
Procedures for recognizing steam binding and for restoring the AFW system to operable status were developed and implemented on January 27, 1986.
Training on the procedures was completed on February 17, 1986.
Procedural controls will remain in effect u.itil superseded by actions implemented as a result of resolution of Geaeric Issue 93.
